Adolescent Eating Disorders
If your teen is struggling with an eating disorder, it’s easy to feel scared, confused, and even unsure of where to begin. Family-Based Treatment (FBT) is a leading approach designed specifically for adolescents, and it’s built on the belief that caregivers are not the cause of the eating disorder—they’re an essential part of the solution.
In FBT, we’ll work together in three phases. In Phase One, caregivers take the lead in ensuring their child is nourished and medically safe. As progress is made, Phase Two supports a gradual return of independence around eating to the teen. Finally, Phase Three focuses on supporting full recovery and helping your child return to typical developmental tasks and a healthy relationship with food. Throughout this process, you’ll have support and guidance every step of the way. You don’t need to have all the answers—what matters most is your presence, commitment, and willingness to team up against the eating disorder
Adult Eating Disorders
If you’re an adult struggling with an eating disorder, it can feel isolating and overwhelming—but you don’t have to face it alone. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E) is a first-line, evidence-based treatment designed to help you understand and shift the thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that keep the eating disorder going. This approach is structured, focused, and tailored to your unique experience. You can expect to be gently pushed outside your comfort zone, because meaningful change often starts there—but you’ll never be pushed beyond your readiness. Throughout the process, we’ll also integrate other evidence-based techniques to help you build the skills and confidence needed to meet these challenges—whether that’s managing emotions, improving body image, or navigating food-related anxiety. Above all, your values, pace, and goals will guide the work as we support you in moving toward freedom and a life that feels more balanced, empowered, and authentically yours.
